Name Moonheart
Gender Tom
Age 18 moons
Position Deputy
Clan RainClan
Kin A sister, Brighteyes.
Appearance Moonheart is extremely plain until you see his eyes. In those amber eyes there is a lifetime of sadness, joy, love, hate and wisdom, these are not the eyes of a juvenile cat. Although he tries to hide it looker deeper and you will see fear, loneliness and even despair. Those eyes have won him few friends, but sadly also have made him hated and even an outcast from his own clan. There is a massive scar across his left cheek from a fight he got in with another RainClan warrior. He is mainly tabby, but with a hint of tortoiseshell in places.
Personality Moonheart was named thus because he was born on the night of a full moon, though on that night there was a cloud that obstructed the moon just as he was born which was taken as a bad sign. He been prejudiced against so much that he has learnt to shy away from attention. Moonheart however can also be fierce and would do anything, even fight twolegs to defend his clan who have abused him and made him feel unwanted. When Whisperstar appointed Moonheart as her deputy the rest of the clan were shocked and still evn after many moons respect is on a razor-edge. Despite all this if he feels comfortable he can be loud, cheerful and even charming.
History When Moonheart was born the medicine cat predicted that he would bring destruction to RainClan. Because of this simple misprediction since he was the smallest kit he was hated. He could never listen to the elders stories, like other kits because they would hiss at him and warn him away. When Moonheart became an apprentice none of the warriors wanted to take him on apart from one, Greeneyes. Greeneyes and Moonpaw soon became friends and his training sessions were one of the happiest times of his life. There was an unfortunate coincidence where he was asked to take a wood pigeon from the fresh kill pile to the leader and when the leader ripped it apart it was full of maggots. Because of this Moonpaw was made an outcast until Greeneyes managed to get him back into the clan by pointing out that it was the warrior who hunted its fault, no warriors admitted to having hunted it. Moonpaw spent a particularly long time as an apprentice and when he became a warrior he decided that he would show them all how loyal to his clan he was. Because of this Moonheart got himself into the front line of every battle and gradually the clan began to accept him. When the clan’s new leader Whisperstar appointed Mooheart as her deputy the clan was shocked and took a long time to accept him as their new deputy. Moonheart has a severe hatred for FrostClanners but because of his great loyalty to his leader he is never uncvil to them however he would dearly like to kill their deputy.
IC Moonpaw saw the fat body of a mouse just ahead of him he dropped into the hunter’s crouch and shuffled forward. He could almost taste its juicy flesh and salivating he sprang! He killed it with one easy swipe and trying desperately to resist the temptation of eating it he carried it back to where the rest of the fresh kill he had hunted was. He decided that this was enough for today and his mouth full of prey he carried it back to camp.
“Good hunting!” Greeneyes congratulated him, “you’re shaping up quite well young Moonpaw, I’ll speak to Foxstar about you getting your warrior name soon. Moonpaw dipped his head acknowledging her praise, which didn’t come often. Greeneyes continued “Now why don’t you take that pigeon,” she beckoned over to the fresh kill pile “over to Foxstar’s den.”
“Okay Greeneyes,” Moonpaw tried to sound excited but really the thought of talking to his leader scared him. He shuffled over to the fresh kill pile and picked up the pigeon, breathing deeply he dragged it over to Foxstar’s den. He tried to call out but his mouth full of feather’s it came out as a very long mumble. “Come in,” called Foxstar’s raspy voice. Moonpaw walked in and dropped the pigeon, “Greeneyes thought you might be hungry,” he said.
“I hear you hunted well today Moonpaw,” Foxstar complimented him, “I may have to make you a warrior soon.” He lunged towards the pigeon and with a flick of his claw he tore it open, he yelped and leapt back “are you trying to poison me!” he cried. Moonpaw looked at the pigeon and suddenly noticed a horde of maggots squirming around. “But I, I,” he whimpered. “Get out of my clan now!” Foxstar roared. Not knowing what to do Moonpaw ran, he ran out of the caver and out of the camp. He didn’t stop running until he collapsed somewhere in the forest…
