Diamondpelt really did feel the sting and pain from the wounds now. His teeth were gritted tightly as he entered the Cave.
He looked around for Morningscar, hoping he wouldn't have to explain the way he got the deep gashes down his back. He had no desire to anger anyone further by mentioning StrongClaw. Besides, who would care about the truth anyway?

Morningscar stepped out of the shadows at the smell of blood. Seeing Diamondpelt made him curious. He made an annoyed flick of the ears, but otherwise gave no sign he even seemed to notice the cat. Knowing there had been no battles, Morningscar sat down to wait, he wanted Diamondpelt to ask for his help.
He was also curious as to know who, or what, attacked him. He probbaly wasn't going to get an answer to that though. But it was worth a try.

Diamond scowled at the Medicine Cat. He suspected that Morningscar knew he was there and that he needed help, but he obviously wanted to be asked. Or begged, he thought. Every mousebrained fool in this place wants to see me beg.
The Warrior stepped towards the tom and Diamondpelt let out a very slight growl. A quiet one, but a meaningful one nevertheless.
What would he say if Morningscar asked what had happened? A fox or something like that... Just a fox, he spoke in his mind.
"Morningscar," he kept his voice low and rough. "I've hurt my back, can you give me something for it?" He nudged his nose in the direction of the gashes. Then he added, "Give me something and I'll go." He waited patiently for a reply.

Standing, he flicked his tail in awknowledgement. Did he think a little growl would scare him? Besides, what warrior would threaten a medicine cat? It would be foolish.
Now lets see.. marigold, cobwebs..
"You can leave once I see it fit, and I am going to have to ask you to keep it easy. Once I have them cleaned up I don't want them bleeding again." Morningscar spoke as if the wounds were on his body, and he wouldn't have it marred. Not that a new extra scars would make a differance on him.
He set a small pile of marigold leaves by the warrior, then began to clean off some of the blood so he could see the wounds more clearly. Taking the leaves, he carefully chewed them and let their pulp cover the wounds. Warroirs were idiots these days getting into fights. As he went to get cobwebs, he decided to inquire.
"What attacked you?" he carefully carried the sticky mess over to him, and began applying the webs.

Oh Great StarClan! Not that I believe in StarClan, Diamondpelt thought to himself. "Oh, um..." he meant to sound more sure, but he wasn't that great at lying. Besides, he was talking to a Medicine Cat! "Just a fox. I was traking it because I caught it's scent around the camp. I didn't want the kits getting hurt so I thought I should run it out. I did, but it put up a fight too." If that had really happened, would he have given so much information in one go? Surely it was obvious he was lying. He prayed it wasn't.
Diamond's teeth were clenched so tightly because of the pain, that his jaw was beginning to hurt. Still, better a sore jaw than letting his weakness show. He continued to scowl, hating every moment in the other tom's presense.

Morningscar snorted at the pathetic lie, but didn't ask anymore questions. He took a small step back to examine his work.
"I'll need to check on these in the morning, make sure they wont get infected." He started turning away from the tom.
"And Diamondpelt?" He was turned all the way around, heading back to his nest. "Whatever really attacked you, I would encourage you to tell Froststar. It would be unwise to keep secrets from her, as well as put your own Clan in danger." However cold hearted he could be, Morningscar was a medicine cat for a reason. He greatly detested seeing injured cats with no one ot help them. If they were FrostClan. A badger could eat anyone else for all he cared.

"Thanks," he muttered to himself, and then made his way back out of the den. His injury didn't hurt so much now and for that he really was thankful to the medicine cat.
He smirked inside at the comment Morningscar had just made though. Tell Froststar? She'd just do the same to him or worse than the Deputy had!
With a flick of the tail, he made his way out into the camp.
