Blackberry still felt angry after his encounter with Cobalteyes. She made him so MAD. He felt like it would burst from his insides and that he could destroy the whole forest with one great, bellowing yell!
But he couldn't. He was a master of disguising his feelings and he would not let that guard down now.
He stopped to sniff the air. It stunk of FrostClan; their smell appalled him more than that of twolegs!
No, he would calm down and try to sleep for the whole life; that would be a change! He'd try...

OOC: Outside!))
Cobalteyes smiled to herself as she walked, she had really gotten under Blackberry's skin! She stopped for a second outside the hard two-leg nest and thought, Blackberry had made her thought about somethings, where would she be in 5 moons, 20! Cobalteyes realised something she was going to die mateless if she didn't find one soon. Smelling the air, she recognised Blackberry's scent and groaned...

A few minutes later Blackberry's eyes snapped open. He'd been in a sort of daydream and he groaned, annoyed with himself. Yawning, he stretched and let out a purr. Most of his anger had ebbed away and he promised himself that he would never let himself loose control like that again. Suddenly he sensed something. He was famous among the loners for his completely accurate senses and he immediately recognised the scent in the air: Cobalteyes. He would not loose his temper again, he merely sat with his back straight and tail over his paws. He would wait until she had either passed or come closer before he'd act.

OOC: Sorry he isn't top of her list either))
Cobalteyes sighed to herself, Blackberry was just a midget in the scheme of things, worthless scum that he was. She lay down on the ground and stretched out, yawning in the hot sun, she trusted Blackberry wouldn't attack her and when she was like this she appeared unattentive but really she was more aware of her surroundings than most cats. Allowing a few idle thoughts to drift around in her mind of course she wasn't going to die alone...

Blackberry flexed his claws momentarily. He sensed that she wasn't going to budge. After a few more seconds he too lay down to sleep. It was late and he was tired; right then, he didn't even care whether she cut his throat while he slept. Paws over his head, eyes tightly shut, he began to drift into a silent slumber... He had always been a light sleeper though.
((OOC: Blackberry can keep up the whole 'I'll pretend you're not there' act)).

OOC: Okay, she'll make the first move))
After an hour Cobalteyes got up, he wasn't going to do anything! She staggered over to the two-leg nest and leaned shakily against the wall, she wasn't feeling too good. Suddenly she sunk to the hard-rocky ground, frantically remebering what she had eaten. Searching through her mind she suddenly remembered the carrion rabbit! despite what she had told Blackberry she was stretched for food too. Her eyes rolled back in her head and she collapsed.
OOC: Okay it's up to you what she is doing whether it is a fit or she is just lying there.)) OOC2: She has to save him too at some time!)) OOC3: He can't just leave her there!!!))

It was strange. He could not see her and yet, even in his sleep, he sensed the change. Quickly Blackberry's eyes snapped open and he stretched briefly before making his way outside.
He was momentarily shocked to see Cobalteyes lying so ridgedly on the floor. She was completely still save for the exceptionally shallow rise and fall of her chest. He bounded forward and mewed, "Cobalteyes? I'm not stupid and I am not in the mood for your pathetic tricks, You Stupid Furrball!" After he spoke he knew for certain that something was wrong. The she-cat would have scratched his eyes out if she'd been conscious.
Blackberry moved closer to her limp form and licked her cheek. Normally this would have repulsed him, but he knew he couldn't just leave her like that, despite his loathing for her. "Cobalteyes?" he spoke softly but also harshly, willing her to wake. "Cobalteyes, I need you to wake up!" He sighed, there was absolutely no point in trying. He'd seen this all before with a friend of his who he hadn't seen in two years. The pretty cat was poisoned.
He was perhaps one of the strongest cats in the forest and he lifted her by the scruff of her neck with ease. Rather awkwardly he shoved her into a position so that she was draped over his back; very ungracfully! Slowly he walked back inside the abandoned twoleg nest and let her slump onto the ground. He roled her onto her side by nudging her with his nose; if they were not known enemies, he may have looked like a lover. "Hang in there, Cobalteyes," he whispered before he stepped back and collected his thoughts.
A few years back he had met a wonderful, old she-cat who had taught him rather a lot about medicine. He racked his brain to try and remember the things she had said about poisoning... As he remembered the hebs he suddenly raced out of the room. He needed to find them quickly...

Less than an hour later, Blackberry returned. His mouth was full and he was panting rather hard from racing around half of the forest. He swore that a SunClan cat had glimpsed him, but he had not been confronted. Besides, as far as he knew, that night was a full moon and that meant the clan cats were all at that gathering thing they always went to.
He promptly spat out the herbs; most of them tasted absolutely vile. He had yarrow, snakeroot, watermint and chamomile. Slowly he sat down and forced Cobalteyes' head into a sort of sitting position. He had ground the yarrow up between his teeth on the way and he knew that it would make the she-cat sick when she ate it. "I need you to eat this, Cobalteyes," he murmered and he forced her jaw to chew slightly before tipping her head back. It wouldn't take long.
The snakeroot was not quite so disgusting and he would make her eat that once she was conscious. The water mint was for any bellyache she might have and the chamomile... well... the chamomile was for him to make her take if she went mental with him. It calmed a cat down.

OOC: I feel kind of evil having such a short post after your two really long ones!))
Blackness... Slowly Cobalteyes eased into consciousness. Thoughts flashed through her head what happened?. Slowly opening her eyes she let out a small yelp as she saw Blackberry's face looming over her. "What happened," she groaned forgetting who she was talking to. She recognised the taste in her mouth, yarrow!

All at once, Blackberry let out a deep breath. Thank goodness! he thought to himself. But he couldn't help thinking that she wouldn't remain clam for long especially after- "Cobalteyes, it's Blackberry," he spoke softly as he felt as if he were tredding on eggshells. "You collapsed. You've undoubtedly been poisoned..." He took a sharp intake of breath and then spoke again. "Take this," he bent to give her the chamomile, "...please."
Before he went to turn away, he remebered that he hadn't checked something. "How are you feeling? Any bellyache? Other pains?" Now that she was regaining consciousness he was beginnning to feel the familiar sense of sickness and dislike which came with being near her. Although... It was a slightly milder than usual...

...Blackberry! Blackberry of all cats! She shuddered, desperately hoping that she hadn't been talking in her coma. "I think I'll be okay, I have no pains that are that bad." "Thanks for looking after me," she stuttered. "Not many cats would have..." Looking at him she realised something, his hackles weren't raised. She also noted that for some reason she didn't find him quite as ugly, in fact he appeared to be relatively good looking.

((OOC: Well of course he is!! Gee-wizz))!!
Blackberry felt a surge of confusion. Why wasn't she angry with him? Did she really just say thankyou??!! Despite his disliking of the she-cat, he found himself half-smiling at her. "It's nothing." He made sure his voice did not show kindness though. It remained firm and straight forward. He did note however, that she still didn't look as well as she aught to be so he mewed considerately, "Are you sure you don't need anything? You must tell me if you do. I don't mind-"

OOC: This is Cobalteyes we are talking about, she is incredibly vain!)))
"No, no I'll be okay, don't worry about me," she replied. cutting him off. Was he smiling at her?! She couldn't resist smiling back. What is wrong with me! she thought angrily at herself. She shifted her paws on the hard, stony ground and stared at them in an attempt to cover her lack of self-control. Deciding that doing that for too long would make her collapse again with a great deal of effort she looked him in the eyes, "How did you know I was poisoned?" she asked calmly and surprisingly in a normal voice What did I say in my sleep! she thought frantically.

"I do-" Blackberry shook his head, determined not to let the words out. I do worry about you. I care. When she smiled back at him he felt something strange inside him. Like butterflies only stronger and he didn't like how it felt. It was new and unusual and he felt so terribly annoyed with himself.
So, he stopped smiling.
Cobalteyes looked wary and aggitated to him and he was sure that she felt repulsed to be in his presence. Who wouldn't be? He must stop these foolish feelings which had suddenly sprung on him.
Blackberry stretched for a second and then lay on the ground with his head on his paws. He attempted to scowl at her question, but he knew he had not succeeded. "Well," he stiffled a yawn. Until that moment he hadn't realised how incredibly tired he was. "I've always been a loner but... I used to know one of the Clans' Medicine Cats. Slicktail. She wasn't all that happy with her life and often took to wandering about outside the forest. She died a year-" He shook his head. "Anyway, before I met her, I went to the place of the twolegs-" A few seconds passed by in silence. He didn't mean to tell a whole story. "A friend of mine ate something from one of their tin-things and he got so ill... He collapsed... He-" Blackberry kept his voice as cool as ever. However, the images of his dying friend in such disgusting pain filled his mind so that, for a second, that was all he could see. "Well, he died in the end. I didn't know what to do. His... condition was worse than yours, but still similar, so I knew what had happened to you." He took a breath, "I knew what to do because, after my friend's death, Slicktail taught me what to do and what herbs to use."
He closed his eyes for a second, remembering the old she-cat. Then they snapped open again and he felt deep concern and a slight amount of sudden panic. "Are you sure you're feeling okay? I don't want-" -you to die His inner-self growled to halt the words. "Just tell me if you need anything." He closed his eyes again, but had no intention of going to sleep, much as he'd like to.
((OOC: Did that make any sense whatsoever?! lol))
