Name: Blackberry
Gender: Tom
Age: Nineteen Moons
Clan: None
Position: Loner
Appearance: Blackberry is quite large and muscular with long claws perfect for pouncing on rats. His short fur is completely black and his eyes are a brilliant shade of green and they seem to burn a hole right through you when he’s angry. One of his ears is split in a wide ‘V’ shape from his first run in with some wild rats. Plus he has a small tuft of fur missing from his belly which was gained from an encounter with an angry clan cat when he was eight moons.
Personality: This cat is very confusing as what he says and does do not often match what he feels. Blackberry appears to be a grumpy, fierce and terribly strong tom who will listen to no one. This part of him has driven him to do cruel and thoughtless things which he now regrets, however, he will never admit to doing wrong. But Blackberry has another side to him which is still baffling but also loveable when his previous actions are forgotten. In his heart can love others and act kindly and deep down he wishes he belonged to a clan. However, this will never happen as no one has yet discovered his inner kindness.
History: Blackberry only has one small memory of his mother. From this he knows that he lived in a twoleg place for the first moon of his life and that his mother took him away from that home and abandoned him in the forest. Blackberry does not know why his mother left him but he has seen her once since then, living in a farmhouse just outside the woodland. He still feels the hurt of her abandonment and has no wish to meet the cat who kitted him.
Blackberry has survived alone for as long as he can remember, catching mice, rats and birds and half-starving during leaf-bare. All this has made him exceedingly powerful and strong-willed, so when he met a clan cat for the first time he felt no threat...
IC: “Hiss!” the grey she-cat’s fur stood on end as she stood baring her teeth and Blackberry. “Who are you?! What business have you in my clan’s land?!”
Blackberry held her gaze, scowling with his sharp, green eyes. He merely gave a small growl, ignoring the cat’s questions.
“SPEAK!” she growled loudly, obviously noting the size of Blackberry and seeing that it would not be wise to challenge him in a fight. She waited a few seconds and, realizing she had little choice, pounced hard onto her opponent. The two cats were immediately caught in a flurry of hissing and spitting. Blackberry may have had the advantage of size but the she-cat was a trained warrior with experience. She clawed at his belly, tearing clumps of fur out viciously.
“Tell me your name outsider!” she squealed as he pinned her to the ground biting and scratching.
“Why don’t you tell me yours?!” he leapt off her and she jumped back spitting fur from her mouth.
“I am a warrior of SunClan.” she panted, her eyes slits. “And I advise you to leave this land at once or I will kill you!”
Blackberry yawned mockingly and began licking his paws. The warrior pounced again but he moved out of the way and she landed on the hard ground behind him. “My name is Blackberry by the way,” he mewed lazily and padded away leaving the she-cat completely speechless.
